Congressman
Washington, DC 20515
Dear Congressman
I am ………………I have been directly involved in the effort to build support for H.R.4052, the National Infrastructure Bank Act (NIB). I am asking you to add your name as a cosponsor. There are now 40 sponsors on the bill, including eight Ranking Democrats and six members of the California delegation. Cosponsors include members of all the various Democratic Caucuses representing the broad spectrum of the party.
This bill is urgently needed. It would complement the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL) passed by President Biden and Vice-President Harris. The National Infrastructure Bank is ten times larger than the BIL and is permanent. The BIL will expire in 2026. The NIB will require no new federal spending or taxes. It has been done previously in U.S. history. The last such institution was implemented by President Franklin Roosevelt. It helped end the Great Depression and win WWII. It also played a major role in building California.
The National Infrastructure Bank has growing national support. Twenty-eight state legislatures have introduced resolutions endorsing the NIB. Eight have passed at least one chamber. Dozens of prominent city and county councils have endorsed the legislation and called on the Congress to adopt it. Among these are San Francisco Board of Supervisors, Richmond, CA City Council and the Los Angeles City Council, and many more.
You are a real fighter for American progress and the effort to end income inequality once and for all. Please add your name to H.R.4052.
Sincerely,
