New Resolutions Pass Supporting National Infrastructure Bank, HR3339

August 22, 2022

At two mid-August conferences, Council of State Governments East (CSGEast) and the New Mexico Democratic Party (DPNM) Rural Caucus, resolutions passed in support of HR3339.

On August 15, 2022, CSGEast passed a resolution supporting the National Infrastructure Bank, HR3339.

"The CSG Transportation Policy Committee unanimously approved the resolution on Monday, 8/15, and then on Wednesday, 8/17, the CSG-Executive Committee considered it and also unanimously approved the resolution. So, it is an approved resolution from the Council of State Governments - East Region. It will be distributed broadly to federal elected officials, the Governors of the Northeast States, State Legislative Speakers and Senate Presidents, Eastern Canadian Province Leaders; as well as trade associations, and others concerned with surface transportation policy."

The following is the statement from the New Mexico Democratic Party (DPNM) Rural Caucus:

"On Sunday, August 14, 2022, the Executive Committee of the DPNM Rural Caucus voted to adopt a platform resolution in support of a National Infrastructure Bank.

Rural communities in New Mexico would greatly benefit from investments enabled by a National Infrastructure Bank. Besides supporting our communities economically, these projects will provide solutions to climate change, accelerate the equitable transition to clean energy, sustain tribes, pueblos and small municipalities with clean drinking water and support the agricultural and cultural heritage that is the vibrant heart of our people.

We are grateful for all efforts that support U.S. H.R. 3339 and/or similar legislation that works to establish a National Infrastructure bank."
