In a March 31, 2022 Zoom Town Hall, sponsored by the NIB Coalition, Washington State Senator Robert Hasegawa, Economist Alphecca Muttardy, and Ohio Representative Catherine Ingram were joined by almost twenty current and former elected officials in a forum that addressed one of the most crucial concerns of our time, affordable housing.

With over 570,000 Americans becoming homeless every day, impacted by the fact that there is no other legislation in Congress with the money to address it, is of grave concern. 

The National Infrastructure Bank, as outlined in Congressional Bill H.R. 3339, would deploy at least $700 billion to help remedy the problem.

This would entail a comprehensive approach, which would include jobs, utilities, transportation, broadband and more. Without a $5 trillion National Infrastructure Bank that would build everything, any attempt to adequately address this current crisis will fall short.
